HIGHWAY RUNAWAYS
100 years ago, mother and daughter Avis and Effie Hotchkiss rode 9,000 miles across the country from New York to San Francisco. To pay homage to these iconic women, rider-photographer Lanakila "Lana" MacNaughton and her closest female friends have embarked on a similar route, doing it their own way, and using Lana's camera to capture the journey. The four-week ride begins July 3 leaving Brooklyn and ending in San Francisco. Follow along with #HwyRunaways.
